Exercise
Research supports regular exercise whilst undergoing cancer treatment. Not only does exercise maintain/increase muscle strength, joint mobility, cardiovascular fitness, and bone health, but can improve sleep, mood and control weight.
Aim for an exercise program that incorporates aerobic activity, strength training and stretching. Your goal should be undertake at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise five days per week as well as two resistance training sessions per week.
I would recommend consulting with an accredited exercise physiologist with a special interest and experience in working with cancer patients. They will be able to tailor a program suited your individual needs and circumstances, in consultation with your treating clinicians.
