Dr Ben Forster

Medical Oncologist - BMedSci MBBS (Hons1) FAChPM FRACP
Dr Ben Forster is a Medical Oncologist and Palliative Care Physician. He is an accredited specialist at The Mater Hospital, North Sydney, and is a VMO Palliative Care Physician at Calvary Riverina Hospital and Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. He is currently undertaking a research and education fellowship at The Mater Hospital, and a Masters in Clinical Education at Flinders University.
Dr Forster graduated from the University of Tasmania with an MBBS with First Class Honours. He undertook residency at Royal Hobart Hospital, and then Basic Physician Training at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney. He became a Fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Australasian Chapter of Palliative Medicine (FAChPM) after undertaking training in both Medical Oncology and Palliative Medicine in Sydney.
His clinical interests include breast cancer and supportive care and he also has a strong interest in medical education. He is actively involved in clinical trials in breast cancer through Breast Cancer Trials (formerly ANZBCTG), as well as research in psycho-oncology and supportive care.
Dr Forster is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney Northern Clinical School and supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society of Medical Oncology, Medical Oncology Group of Australia and Breast Cancer Trials Australia.
